Ref. Lagos, Nigeria — Remote, Global · Rev. 2026
A people, process, and profit catalyst. I'm rarely hired to run what already works, usually the opposite. Over eight years, I've grown revenue, built functions, strengthened customer relationships, and developed the people behind fast-scaling, distributed companies, from a Tier-1 bank and venture-backed startups to a BPO serving global clients.
Trained as an industrial designer, I now apply that same design instinct to business: designing the workflows, stakeholder relationships, operating models, and governance that customer success, operations, and cross-functional programmes run on.

About
Mediator (INFP-T) · Diplomat
Goal-Oriented · Cooperative
Patient · Self-Confident
Funmilayo started out designing physical objects — she graduated top of her class in Industrial Design at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. What she actually learned there wasn't drafting. It was a way of looking: watch how something is really used, find where it strains, then rebuild it so it holds under load.
Eight years later, the objects changed. First Bank of Nigeria, three venture-backed startups, and a global BPO serving Fortune 100 clients taught her the same instinct applies to organisations. She isn't usually hired to run what already works. She's hired for the white space — the customer success function that doesn't exist yet, the hundred-person frontline programme that needs a structure before it needs headcount, the account book growing faster than anyone's process can absorb.
She has built three customer success organisations from zero, taken a portfolio of 800-plus B2B accounts to under 1% churn, and now co-leads operations for a 400-person, cross-country support team inside one of Hugo's largest healthtech accounts — while sitting as an independent non-executive director at a Nigerian microfinance bank.
Her work sits at the intersection of people, process, and performance — strategic relationships, structured programmes, and the metrics that prove both are working.
That relationship work is rarely one-sided. Standing up a voice platform, migrating customers to a new identity product, or launching a support capability has meant partnering directly with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and external vendors — running the same stakeholder and partner coordination that sits at the center of formal partnerships work, even when the title on the door said something else.
Off the clock, the instinct shows up differently. She has coached over a hundred young professionals through her own Evolve initiative, mentored teenagers since 2018, and served as a founding member of CS Ladies, a 1,500-member community for women in customer success. It tracks with how the assessments describe her: goal-oriented, patient, cooperative, quietly self-confident — a Mediator who happens to be very good at holding hard KPIs.

Challenge — A Series B digital-identity company had sales momentum and no post-sales function. Every renewal, integration, and escalation ran through whoever happened to pick up the thread.
Approach — Designed the org from first principles: owned the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through API implementation, renewals, and expansion; deployed a scaled/digital success motion so high-touch attention could reach an 800-plus account book; built the health-scoring and dashboarding that told the team where to look before a customer had to ask.
Result — ~30% month-over-month revenue growth, churn under 1%, roughly half the customer base upsold, and a customer success function stable enough that leadership stopped thinking about it as a risk.
Challenge — A Fortune 100 edtech client was growing faster than its support program. More volume was arriving than the existing tiering, staffing, and shift structure could absorb without SLAs slipping.
Approach — Rebuilt workflow and shift management, ran a staged staffing strategy across a 100-plus member Tier 1–3 and back-office program, and layered in automation to cut backlog rather than just add headcount.
Result — A $1.5M+ ARR account with SLAs and CSAT moving the right direction, 25% NRR growth in a single quarter, and enough delivered trust that the client expanded the scope of work rather than shopping for another vendor.
Challenge — Monthly receivables were creeping up. Revenue looked healthy on paper; cash collection told a different story.
Approach — Traced the invoicing process end-to-end, found where timing and formatting were quietly costing the business collection speed, and redesigned the structure around how customers actually paid — not how the system assumed they would.
Result — Monthly account receivables cut by over 65%, alongside 300%+ growth in contract value across the same portfolio.

Social impact
The same instinct for structure shows up in the community work she leads alongside full-time roles — programmes conceived, planned, and executed end-to-end, not just supported from the sidelines. Objectives, content, speakers, participants, communications, and logistics, coordinated across every stakeholder who needs to show up on the day.
Programme production
Led full production for a national teen leadership conference — content direction, visual identity, speaker materials, and on-the-day delivery for an audience of hundreds.
Concept to execution
Conceived the concept, then owned it end-to-end — built the delivery team, and managed every stakeholder and partner relationship required to bring it to life: programme design, speaker line-up, run-of-show, and logistics, start to finish.
Curriculum design
Designed a structured leadership and life-skills curriculum for teenagers, including a ranked progression pathway and a multi-domain competency matrix.
